Amazon is delighted to have been appointed by Law for Life, the education and information charity working to increase access to justice. We are excited to support them in their aim to tackle the worrying knowledge deficit in the UK, where, for instance, 89% of the population fails to correctly identify legal problems. This has severe consequences ranging from deepening social injustice, to negatively impacting the economy as well as personal well-being.
We are developing Law for Life’s communications strategy and will provide support on an ongoing basis to help demonstrate the considerable need for and substantial benefits of public legal education, as well as promoting their award-winning Advicenow website.
Law for Life’s head of communications and policy, Mary Marvel, says: “We look forward to working with Amazon to ensure more people have the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to deal with law-related issues that affect their lives.”
