We’re delighted this week to be marking our 16th birthday. We don’t usually spend much time looking back, but today we’ve been reminiscing about some of our early clients.
Our very first was Islington Enterprise Agency, who launched us on our way with a gender mainstreaming project (we were ahead of the curve there!). Chunky work soon started to arrive through COI, mostly for Govt departments who have since gone through several name changes, but were then DTI, DCA, Defra and Office of the Public Guardian. And quangos (remember them?!) that are now no more, such as Capacitybuilders and the brilliant Sustainable Development Commission.
For many clients, like NCH (now Action for Children), Dimensions and NCT, a single project became a long-term relationship. Some, such as RAF Benevolent Fund, are still with us, a decade later.
In more recent years, there have been lots of new briefs of course, reflecting changes in society, the political landscape, the comms profession and in our sectors. Our newer clients – Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, MND Association, Birth Companions, SafeLives, Beanstalk – keep us on our toes, challenging us to innovate and offer fresh thinking.
Right from the start, our clients have inspired us because of the vital work they do. Sixteen years of supporting voluntary and public sector organisations has been pretty awesome so far. We’re looking forward to the next 16!
