Amazon working with Stoll to end veterans’ homelessness

Amazon PR has been appointed by Stoll, the leading provider of supported housing to vulnerable and disabled veterans, to help develop and launch the No Homeless Veterans campaign.

The majority of veterans make a smooth transition from military to civilian life, but it is all too easy for ex-service personnel, especially young veterans, to slip through the net.

The integrated campaign, led by the Cobseo (the Confederation of Service Charities) Housing Cluster and supported by the Forces in Mind Trust, will launch in September. It aims to reduce veterans’ homelessness to as close to zero as possible by working with Local Authorities, homelessness charities and advice agencies, increasing frontline awareness of the extra level of support veterans are entitled to, but often fail to receive.

Amazon is overseeing the development of a campaign brand, website, marketing materials and a six-month media campaign.

Ed Tytherleigh, Chief Executive of Stoll, comments:

“We believe that we can reduce the incidence of homelessness among veterans to as close to zero as possible, but this will only happen with a significant shift in approach to the issue of housing ex-service personnel. It’s crucial that veterans facing homelessness know there is help available to them and get the right support to prevent them becoming homeless in the first place. We’re excited about what we can achieve with Amazon’s help.”
