The Smith Institute, a leading not for profit, public policy think tank, has appointed us to deliver proactive media relations for the Affordable Housing Commission’s call for evidence.
Last year, we supported the Smith Institute and the Nationwide Foundation, with the successful launch of their Affordable Housing Commission. For this year’s call for evidence, we have secured coverage across leading housing publications, inviting organisations and individuals to share suggestions on how the UK’s housing shortage and affordability can be resolved.
We have arranged an exclusive interview with the commission’s chair, Lord Best, and a key housing trade publication, to further drive awareness of the call for evidence, and explore the issues surrounding housing affordability in-depth.
The Smith Institute has also asked us to help support the launch of its new report, in partnership with Trust for London, that reveals levels of poverty in outer London. This report will be launched at a Parliamentary event, and we will help drive coverage of the issues, within national and London-wide media.
Paul Hackett, Director of the Smith Institute, says:
“Developments within housing policy are moving at such a rapid pace, that we needed an agency that could hit the ground running. Having worked with Amazon on the launch of the Affordable Housing Commission, we are confident their expertise will help deliver increased awareness of the issues and possible solutions.”
